Mirai- Tiger Tattoo Piece

Mirai’s tattoo placement was hard to chose initially as I wanted it to
be seen. I felt there wasnt a lot of areas on her body that were not covered up with armour or robes.
I found the back was the most appropriate place and could fit the full
tiger design on it. This is shown in the initial sketch, then the final
speed paint of the tattoo. It can also be displayed in the final piece at
the end of the artbook.
Every Samurai has a tattoo of their spirit animal but for the male
characters they were hard to display due to the armour.
